Download CPUID HWmonitor or speccy (recommend speccy, it's simpler) to see what your temps are. Then report back what they are both idle and ingame.

IT says my computer is at 3.64 Ghz while I'm watching a youtube video nothing else.

My temp is 34C at idle.

Open task manager to see CPU and RAM usage.

It doesn't have to be temperatures causing the "slow down" it could be just system cleaning and maintenance needed, getting rid of junk files and shit. I use winutitiles but be careful, winutilities can eradicate loads of sensitive data once you use it any different from default settings. I am sure there are other similar software out there that can do the same cleaning.

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.
