Can anyone explain to me why old servers have such high prices?

I was looking to see if i could find the same case BSmods is using...and let me say, they really are made of unobtanium. This server that went out of production in 1997 still sells for loads of money, can someone explain why that is to me?

 

 

I don't know much about servers :(

Servers are well servers simply being one innately raises it's price because lots of people don't know much about servers xD You'd be better off building your own... pulling a linus using a combination of random parts that work(it's a reference to some of his older videos where he'd use some gaming hardware some server hardware and some office hardware to build a server for his house) to try and get the best bang for your buck.... Whatcha need a server for?  @Norman_the_Owl

I don't need a server, i just want to know why prices are so  high. I'm trying to cannibalize the case off an ancient server

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.
