970 vs 780

I think 970 is better, faster, and cheaper

Im planing a computer,

 

which would be better performance for gaming, streaming and editing.

780 will be a bit faster, but 970 has the TDP advantage. Less power consumed, therefore less heat, therefore less noise.

For now...

 

The drivers aren't optimized for maximum performance, so I think we'll see if that statement remains true in the next month or so.

 

Either way, the 780 costs quite a bit more (here in the UK, anyway). The 780 is about £310 for the cheapest, and the 970 is £260, for the cheapest.

Between a standard 780 and the 970 I'd go with the newer 970 GPU easily.
