Best Internal Sound Card?

What do you think is the best internal sound card?

Personally I favour the ASUS ROG Xonar Phoebus but that's just me.

Any Asus Xonar soundcards are good. 

 

Asus ROG Xonar Phoebus and the Asus STX Essence sound cards are both great choices.

I like the Auzen X-Fi HomeTheater HD i guess. Since you don't ask for specific segments, something like the ESI Juli@ XTe is awesome, too.

But right now, i'm just rocking a Denon Receiver via DVI to HDMI.

I'm gonna have to go for the Asus Xonar Essence STX.

 

Although i have to give credit to the Asus Xonar DG, for it's price it sounds good.

I personally love the stx, but I've heard some really good things about the creative zx and zxr, the zxr in particular is meant to be a really solid card, really nice capacitors and solid burr brown dacs.

The original Creative Soundblaster.  It made people think they actually had to have a special sound card for video games.  Pure marketing genius.
