i want the x99 for the ddr4 and i ahve 2 gtx 760s already

DDR4 isn't worth the extra cost over DDR3.

So, i hit a cross road today.  I have been saving for a macbook pro to start programming apps, but today my custom pc has it the end of the road.  It was using 100% cpu to play a simple game like minecraft.  It would cost around $1600 for a new pc and $1500 for a refurb macbook(its what i planned on getting). What should i do. PLEASE HELP

Salvage as much as you can from your pc and build a new one. And get a cheap $500~ Lenovo notebook. 

 

P.s. why would your new rig have to cost $1600? You could easily build a sold rig for around $800-1000.

I assume you're doing some heavy editing then...in which case the choice would have to be a no-brainer since you won't be able to do very heavy editing on a mbp.

 

Unless you're doing some seriously heavy editing then you're better off going with a z97 board ($130-150) a 4690k ($220--if only gaming), 4790k ($330--if editing), and 8gb ddr3 ($75- if only gaming), 16gb ddr3 ($140 if editing).

If you're decided on those specs, get the new PC instead of the refurb mac...

To me, this is how I see it. Go with the Apple to have something for the long run or build the pc and have more power, and just end up buying a new one in a few years. I try not to be bias towards either side.

Possibly. If you have a gigabyte board and an Intel CPU then more than likely. 

 

And wouldn't something like a 4790k and gtx780 be better than a 5820k and gtx760
