Locking CM Storm QuickFire Rapid "FN" Key

Hello everybody!

I did some searching around google and didn't come up with anything so I thought I'd ask it here at the forums! First Topic!

I have a CM Storm Quick Fire keyboard and I want to lock the FN key so the media controls at the top (F5-F12) are the main buttons. I only found topics that are related to the new TK keyboard. They said to hold the FN button down for 3 seconds and that would lock it until you held it down for another 3 seconds. Tried it on mine, and nothing happened. Maybe it's not even possible! Thanks for any ideas!

Love this keyboard by the way, I use it in an office environment (who cares about noise!) and also my first mechanical keyboard! I feel like this is the SSD's of keyboards, once you have you will NEVER go back!

I don't think cherry makes a latching mx switch, so you can't just swap the switch and use the same keycap.

if you can solder, you could cut a hole in the top of the case and mount a toggle switch, and wire it down to the fn key.

when it's one position fn is locked on, other way it acts normally, where you have to push the fn key.

Will work for electronic components and parts
