SLI with different clock speeds?

ok, so i have a zotac 780ti ''amp!'' edition wich is factory OC'ed. i'm going to buy another one but it's not the factory OC'ed one. i saw the tech quickie vid about SLI, and there lunus said that they don't need to have the same clock speed, but i want to be 110% sure before i buy another one...

the faster card will downclock to meet the slowest depending on which is the master and slave

Yes they can be at different clocks but i would reccomend the higher clocked one to be the master
