This has been going on for decades, yes decades. Why is it such a concern now? Well its all the social media and how people can get in the face of the popular opinion in a bigger way. Before it wild get pushed under the carpet so to speak and it would go away, well not really but the NFL would consider it a done deal after an apology and fine, maybe sit out a few games so the player would not be on TV for a bit.

 

At the end of the day no one cares (not that I like that), as long as no dog dies. But we all know what happens if you kill a dog, oh boy you're gonna get it, beat a woman, egh... :rolleyes:
