Get a new card it's pointless to crossfire to mid range cards when you can get a higher end card instead

I don't think it's "pointless", nor should it be considered "pointless", sure it's not the most convenient but it's far from "pointless".

I already am currently using a XFX 270x and have been seeing the card on sale quite frequently and I'm curious if it would be worth picking up another or just buying a new card.

what are some of your choices for a new card?

I would say go for it. I have 2 Gigabyte 270x's in crossfire, and I do not regret my decision at all. Runs anything I throw at it, and it looks badass to have 2 GPUs.

I get irritated about how many people rant about how crossfired setups are bad, when they have never even tried it. I have no issues as AMD has made great strides for optimizing crossfired setups. 2 270x perform better than a 290x in most situations.

@WidgityPear are there some games you would want in AMD's never settle space edition that would offset the cost? I originally was looking for a cheaper gpu but the games may justify spending the extra money.

Forgive me El Guapo. I know that I, Jefe, do not have your superior intellect and education...
