Short and simple question Green build

Hi guys, just wanted to get some feed back on ideas for my build, I'm trying to do a green themed one (mostly because of my mobo)

I have:

Corsair 760T Case (white)

Corsair AX1200i PSU

Gigabyte G1 Sniper 5 Mobo

2x WD Green 1TB drives (see what I did there)

samsung 250GB SSD

yadda yadda yadda

any idea for the best lighting options I was thinking of the bitfenix alchemy lighting strips but couldnt find really any feed back on there brightness longevity ect

I was also thinking of getting the swifttech H220X with the green waterblock plate and perhaps changing the water color (recommendations?)

any input would be helpful thanks

The bitfenix lighting strips are pretty bright and last absolutely ages (you don't need to worry about lifespan). Phobya also makes crackin led strips.

I would get WD blues instead of greens, because you can't really see HDD's anyway.

I think your WCing idea is pretty good, not only will you get a cool green look, you'll also get a good watercooler.

Also do you really need a 1200watt psu? because 95% of people don't.

Oh god no.

The only decent fan that is green I can think of are the green gelid wings.

@loccilucas yes I do infact have the ax1200i but I got it brand new for $200 so why not right, now I'll never need to worry about my power needs givin that in time I will go to sli r9 290x or gtx 780ti (or the current gen equivalent)

also do you think I should get blues just for mass storage seeing how I do have a 250GB SSD (also prob going to raid another one for 500GB boot drive)

and what do you guys think of the Bitfenix Spectre Pro's I like the look of the fans for say when the computer is off, how do they stack up to the corsair fans?

Hi there Darith,

Nice build. May be you could upload some pictures afterwards to share the final vision.

The drives of the WD Green line are quiet, reliable, energy-saving. We are normally encouraging the use of the Greens for secondary storage. With this SSD size (and an even larger afterwards), you should be just fine. If you at one point decide to install games on the HDD instead of the SSD, you might consider the Blue line that loccilucas mentioned. It is the standard one. For Gaming the line WD recommends is the Black one, due to its performance. Moreover, it has a 5 years limited warranty. Here is a brief comparison of the lines with the different colors -- http://wdc.com/en/products/internal/desktop/ .

Hope this helps,

Ya I prob will be installing my casual-not so often games onto a HDD so maybe I will pick up a 1Tb blue or black... also I ment to buy paint today to color my Corsair SP120 rings (the white ones) but when I was looking around I realized I don't know which type of paint I should get, I also need to get some stuff to paint the rails on my gigabyte windforce cards just like linus did in that video, besides plasti-dip you guys have any suggestions?
