Windows 7 and AMD Catalyst

Okay so I am going to reinstall Windows, but I am unsure about something, I like to use CCC beta drivers, just for the new features, and in 7 I always see 14.4 is the only one installed.

Now is there a way to actually install the beta driver (14.7RC3 I believe) in Windows 7, or this only possible in Windows 8.1?

You just go to their site > drivers > Windows 7 (whatever bit you have, I assume 64) > scroll down and click download for 14.7?

Uninstall 14.4, reboot and install 14.7

Some AMD beta driver like the 14.7RC3 doesn't have the driver version value so you will see the last driver you installed that came with it.

 

To confirm whether you installed the right driver or not, check the Driver Packaging Version in CCC>Software.

Specifically for the 14.7 RC, you have to uninstall your current drivers first.
