I cant my PSU just died....

when did your psu die and if it did you were probably drawing too many watts from it

It died on the desktop.

were any of these problems happening before you installed the new gpu

Well , at least now you know what's the problem ..  :D

 

Even though based on cpu - gpu 600 W seemed enough you can calculate with all your parts here : http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp

 

Also if you still have warranty try and contact them and see if they can replace it for you .

yea try getting a more powerful in terms of wattage power supply i would personally recommend the corsair rm series psu's

Well thanks. I am going to get a 750 watt psu now i think. Thanks to everyone trying to help.

try getting a 80+ gold or more psu and look on Jonny gurus website

Would 80+ Bronze be okay too ? I cant realy affort spending that much more right now.

yea its just that they normally are made of lower quality components and output more heat. Look on Jonny guru for a psu that fit your needs

Had this exact issue when going from 6870 to 7970. New higher wattage PSU, fixed it. GPU simply not getting enough power and just shutting down
