I'm trying to install GTA IV from the games for windows marketplace and it won't install saying there isn't enough disk space.  I've changed the install location to my second drive with 2TB free but I keep getting the error.  Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Try launching GFWL as administrator (just right click, and it should be there), and if that returns the same error then go to Computer > Right click on the drive you're installing to > select properties > navigate to security > Here: make sure that "Administrators" and "Users" In the top window box with your computer name in the brackets next to them have all permissions enabled, excluding special permissions.

If not: click edit and change them to have full permissions.

That's all I can think of ;)

  • 2 weeks later...

Try going in to properties -> compability and then change the settings to run as administrator and try to change compability to another OS.

I used the properties to another file since I don't have GFWL on my computer, but you can change the settings with GFWL in compabillity.

DO THIS BEFORE INSTALLING!
