Help!

My PC specs are:

AMD FX 9370

Sapphire Radeon R9 270x

Corsair H60 liquid cooler

GA fxa990 ud3

8gb of G.skill Ripjaws 1866 RAM.

When I turn on my system the fans spin up, and after a few seconds the entire thing shuts off. I turn it back on and the same thing happens. Any advice would be appreciated.

This is probably the wrong forum, but.. it sounds like something might not be plugged in properly. Also, are all the mobo standoffs installed?

Bad board?

Bad CPU?

I'm suspecting the PSU or the Mobo here.

PSU could be failing, mobo could be failing, HDD could be failing... Honestly with so little information it's hard to tell what causes it...

You can also try taking out the video card and then turning it on.. but yea..too little information to diagnose anything.

Only thing hot about this is OP's CPU temperatures (possibly) - huehuehuehuehuehue.

But nah it's probably a PSU/shortcircuit issue or a loose cable.

Last time that happened to me the motherboard was shorting and turned it self off to avoid damage. Make sure nothing conductive is touching anything sensitive, including motherboard standoffs on the case.

if this is a new build check your motherboard something may not be connected.

 

Sounds like when I forgot to connect the CPU power cable (got distracted then assumed I had done it ) , so I'd say give that a look

This was happening to me too, but in my case the display showed "CPU fan is not working". Make sure you have your CPU fan connector plugged in the designated header on the mobo, and not in a fan controller or anywhere else.
