no, for the task described by the op the xeon he picked is vastly superior...go with what youve listed op its perferct mid/high-end workstation imho and very good gaming rig as well.

 

stock intel heatsink on this is perfectly fine to use if you want to save 30$ go ahead, the 212 is quieter though.

 

i would go with a 2x 8gb ram kit as well.

they are the same cpu only difference is no igp on the xeon so it cost less nd consume less energy and runs cooler, you guys know squadoosh so you should refrain posting in this section of the forum! thanks
