Corsair Vengeance 1300 diagnosis

Originally purchased Steelseries Siberia V2s but the mic stopped working, so i needed a new headset with a mic

Yesterday I purchased a refurbished Corsair 1300 Analog headset from NCIX for $33

I figured if it retails for $80 they must be half decent sounding

but I also accepted the fact that something might not be right with them (first time buying a refurb product)

brought them home and surely something was not right

1. the volume was extremely low, i would have to crank the windows volume all the way up to hear anything

2. there is NO bass...at all. Literally nothing in the low end

took it back to NCIX, made them listen to it. and surely enough they said it was just me. they said the bass was fine...and refused to give me a refund or even exchange them for an ever cheaper headset ( i originally wanted a Corsair Raptor LH2)

[1] Are refurbished units supposed to be this shit? or is the 1300 itself a really shit headset?

[2] Will corsair be able to RMA this? factory reconditioned headsets have a 3 month warranty
