Wired access points and a good network switch

Go to solution Solved by xox,

Maybe, just need a recommendation for some good ones.

In my house the walls must be made of an unknown metal, because the wireless sucks. I was going to run an ethernet line to each bedroom, but I would rather use wireless access points.

I'm going to run an ethernet cable to the roof of each room and put an access in each room. What is the best hardware for this. My internet speed isn't very fast so i only need one that could max out at 1Gb/s.

I need 5-6 of these in total, and a network switch to match.

This is my opinion, it doesn't mean I'm right and is liable to change at any time. I may offend of which I apologize in advance.

In every room? Are you sure? would it not be better to have 2 (or maybe if you are feeling adventurous, 3) and put them in strategic places?

Oh yeah, and most of the time, the LAN performance is limited by your Router's processor.

And another edit, the best is probably gonna be a few of Ubiquiti's Access points with an 8-way gigabit switch (or whatever you need)

Compatible with Windows 95
