Please help.The  error accurs when I try to boot from windows 7 installation CD. The screen goes blue and this is what it says 0x00000000(0x001003f0)I think i my have deleted my windows kernels.I have formated my hdd with my other pc but i still cant boot from th CD.

My laptop:toshiba sattalite.Any advice?

This belongs in the troubleshooting thread but have you tried updating yout bios? Or making a bootable usb

If it's your DVD, then download a new copy and use your original licence key.

Get the correct copy of your windows 7 from here and make a bootable usb http://www.w7forums.com/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-image-downloads-t12325.html if that doesnt work reset the bios

And this is the official ISO to USB tool from Microsoft. I find it installs faster from DVD, but not by much.

The speed of the install is based on your USB speed.

I can install Windows 8 in 5min.

Interesting. I don't know why this has not occurred to me before. I guess it's finally time to buy a USB 3.0 stick

Make that I was able to install Windows 7 installed 7min on a USB 2.0

I think it's time for you get a proper USB flash drive :) Make sure that they are at least ~25MB/s read and write (also happens to be the max of USB 2.0). Of course that this is the sequential read/write speed. It's much slower for smaller files on both USB 2.0 and 3.0. You just have to check reviews, I guess :)
