I'm looking for new headphones around ~150$. I would prefer them to be bassy, since I like to listen to mostly electronic off my desktop PC (no soundcard). I also wear glasses and my current headphones (AudioTechnica ATH-M30) has been making my ears hurt after having them on for a while.

Right now I've been interested in the Beyerdyanmic DT770 Pro 80, but I would like to have some other people's opinions. THanks!

UEs are not very great in the first place and if you read the OP, he said m30s were uncomfortable so the m50 wouldn't be any better. Besides, it's an overpriced headphone anyway.

The m50s are more comfortable than the M30s, and I've got to disagree with you about the Ue6000s.

Whatever you get, make sure they have velour pads. When I used to wear glasses any headphones with leather/pleather pads were uncomfortable.

Except in the case of Hifiman. Man, those velour pads are hard as rock, compared to their soft and mushy pleather pads

Compared to other things, the m50 might as well be the same as the m30. Same style of pads. It makes no difference that one is marginally better. There is better stuff out there.

Did you have that issue with your he-500's?  I think I can vaguely remember the leather were squishier than the cloth, but the leather got really hot on them.

I haven't had that issue with my LCD-2, but I think it's because it's actual leather and not pleather. (Probably also because there's like 2 inches of padding on them that's retardedly squishy)

But the question is, how squishy is retarded?

So much SQUISH. I've never worn any Audeze Products yet :(

When I first tried them at a store near my house, I was trying not to drool on them lol, I tried the LCD-3 as well with micro-suede, holy cow that was comfortable as hell lol

I have been thinking about renting hd800 for 2 weeks to use in my house to compare them and see what I like more, but I haven't gotten around to it yet :/

I still own the HD800s, but they're not the most comfortable headphones I've worn. I'd say the Sony MA900s are the most comfortable, but I no longer own them.

They have a very flat sound signature. Personally think it sounds "Boring" but if you like that sound signature, they're fantastic.

EDIT: if you have the chance to try out the HE-560s, they're also very good headphones. I'm currently using them and they're a huge improvement over the previous iterations.
