Motherboard Battery

I am planning to make a server from my old motherboard but I need a new battery for it what sort of battery do they take? and I know they take the circle ones but I don't know what type of circle battery is needed

Here is the motherboard from the manufacturers website it maybe an out dated motherboard but it runs fine

Take the old battery out and find out what type of battery it is.  Any info on the battery list here.

 

I suspect it is a 2032, but can't be sure

Motherboards manufacturers usually use CR2032 batteries on most motherboards. You can find these at most hardware or electronic stores and are usually cheap. Just make sure you buy a quality brand so that it doesn't leak or lose power very quickly. Also, most of the time the battery on motherboards lasts 10+ years so be sure to check the "Clear CMOS" jumper if you're having concerns for why you're loosing your CMOS data, if that's the case.

If you are anyway gonna change it, just take it with you to store. All batteries have their technical details listed somewhere. On those button sized they are either on top or bottom.
