Only having a Das Keyboard as a reference I'm interested in opinions contrasting these two options for MX switch mounts. Obviously there's material elsewhere but I'm interested in our experiences here.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.

Plate mounted is supposed to feel far more solid than PCB mounted. The plate shouldn't flex as you type, whereas the PCB could.

Adds weight to the board too, and slightly changes the sound of typing I think.

Though, PCB you can swap and mess with the switches far easier to my understanding.

To do that with a Plate mounted Switch you need to de-solder it.

CPU: 6700k GPU: Zotac RTX 2070 S RAM: 16GB 3200MHz  SSD: 2x1TB M.2  Case: DAN Case A4

Yes this was pretty much in line with what I've learned so far. A lot of what I have read have been reviews leaning towards the opinion that PCB mounting generally has a negative effect.
