Hi guys,

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this one - But I was wondering, is 1866mhz RAM the highest frequency supported by this motherboard? In all honesty it's not a big deal for me whether it is or not, but I just find it a bit strange that an enthusiast grade motherboard like this would be capped at 1866mhz.

Thanks,

Venusia

It can hold more but only via OC. Those are not listed here for some reason though. Check the motherboard via Pcpartpicker (They list it).

Edit: Well guess what, according to pcpartpicker it's also 1866. Looks like the max it can have is 1866 MHz. Also Z97 is not really enthusiast. X79 and X99 are enthusiast.

No. Memory with stock 1866 Mhz. High speed memories have overclock profiles called XMP. Its supported. It will support all current DDR3 memories on the market. By the way its Memory s not memories.

I literally have no clue what you are trying to say with that last sentence.

Both have different meaning. It occured while typing. Memory s means more than one memory or ram. Memories means related to past. Usually we say Memory Sticks or Modules for more than one memory.

Uhh ok... But no one every said 'memories'. You were the one who said that. Were you correcting yourself?
