Which MOBO to get?

Go to solution Solved by Mateyyy,

opps 4690k! (typo haha) but the gigabyte gaming 3 is much cheaper... MSI parts are of higher quality?

Well, I don't think that the Gigabyte Gaming 3 is a bad board, but the MSI one just looks like a nicer all around board, it also looks better imo (that's just personal choice).

ASUS AS MAXIMUS VII RANGER for 329 SGD

or

GIGABYTE GA Z97X-GAMING 3 for 245 SGD

or

MSI Z97 GAMING 5 for 289 SGD?

It really depends what features you need.

In my opinion, I would either go for the MSI Gaming 5 or the Gigabyte GA-Z97X- Gaming 3.

The ROG board doesn't really have a lot more features over the others.

Well, the Z97 Gaming 5 does support Crossfire, and is a pretty stable board for overclocking, either if it's an i5 4690K, or an i7 4790K, there's no i5 4790K

I would go for the MSI Gaming 5. The Ranger is a bit more expensive for what you really get and Gigabyte's Z97 boards, except for the high-end ones, don't seem to be that good of a value compared to other manufacture's offerings.

Alright thank you guys :)
