Looking to upgrade my CPU this is what I currently have HERE

Now I don't know too much about whats good or bad and I'm conflicted between these to processors. HERE First thing is that one of them is a 6 core with a lower clock speed and the other has 4 cores but a higher clock speed. I'm mostly this for gaming so i'm assuming that the quad core one is better but idk. Also what is Haswell-E i have heard of haswell but never haswell e. Is it just a newer generation? Last thing is that they both have a different socket type than what I currently have so would that mean I need a new motherboard also? If there are any better options than these please let me know aswell :D

You don't have to upgrade that cpu, it's still really good, going to a 3570k wont be that much of a performance increase, the other option is the 3770k but you might not even "need" this

The most common result of insufficient wattage is a paperweight that looks like a PC

Your processor is more than capable for gaming. There's no real reason to upgrade unless you want an i7 for video editing/e-peen purposes.
