$100-$200 GPU, Need Advice

cburg

I'm not very experienced with choosing graphics cards so I'm looking for recommendations for one in my first PC build. I have a budget of $100-$200 dollars. I first thought of the 650ti but alot of people think its a terrible card so I scrapped that idea.

This is the build for reference: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/115Z3

If you can strech your budget by 50$ you get an awesome card:

If you can strech your budget by 10$ you get an almost as awesome card:

If you can't strech your budget by any $ you get a very decent card:

What do you have now? Nothing or something.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

I personally would just save for a 7950, but if you want to buy now I also recommend the 7870

scourge up 229 and get this 7870 tahit http://pcpartpicker.com/part/powercolor-video-card-ax78702gbd52dhppv3e

its an downclocked 7950 with less memory bandwidth tho

but definitely if you can just wait and save, grab a 7950.

Well for a single 1080p screen defo go from 7870 and above to perform in the latest games. Of course if you can save up head for thhe 7950 as it would be a nice boost.

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

nothing

And it seems like everyone recommends the 7870 so I think that is what I will go with that. I don't need a super expensive card since this is a budget PC and I will save up for a better one later. Thanks guys.

If you go with a 7870 go with one of the le or xt versions posted above, they are noticeably better for around $10 more.

Hey everybody, I've noted that OP only has a 430 W PSU selected.

According to this page, he'll need at least a 500 W PSU, for a system with a single 7850.

OP, you should get a PSU with more wattage if you want to power a system with a 7870.

Here is the 7870 GHz Edition system requirements page from AMD.

A gtx 650 ti boost is a great card in that price range. If you could spend a bit more though you could get an hd 7870 ghz.
