Zip ties for securing fan?

Go to solution Solved by X1XNobleX1X,

Is it safe to zip tie a fan in place where it's not meant to be a fan, like the 5.25" drive bays?

It's a bit ghetto, but it would work.

Yea, its perfectly ok, just make sure it is secure, get it really tight, and make sure it is not in the way of anything.

You can, but you will probably get  sound emanating from that area due to vibration.

if you do a getto solution you could add some softfoam to reduce vibractions too. And every tight connection with the case will transport vibrations, no matter-what.

Personal experience?

Police uses it too :D
