Would the 20th anniversary Pentium be good?

If I do go through with this build I'll only be doing very light gamin gin it and a whole lot of tv and movie watching :P

What gpu should i put in it? I have a spare gtx 260 but i think it would be better to get a newerish gen card

Does amd have mini itx?

Yes and they are quite cheap.

I would go for that MSI one board however because it has x16 PCI-E but be aware! it runs only on x4 speed so I wouldnt throw any too powerfull GPU on it as it doesent have enough bandwidth ... that is the only problem of AM1 platform (maybe not supporting dual channel memmory is the seccond but on HTPC I dont mind that).

@Smooth Bunz

I'm running the Athlon 5350 AM1 APU in my HTPC. It's a great platform for low-power, low-noise. Full specs in sig.

You can't install an H50 AIO on it as the AM1 socket uses a different cooler/heatsink mounting design (only two push pins), but the stock heatsink/fan is practically silent anyways - I can barely hear it even with my ear right up to it. With only a 25w TDP, it doesn't need much in the way of cooling anyways.

As for a GPU, anything up to a 750Ti  or R7-260/X at the most is what I would recommend for a balanced setup. Anything more powerful than that will be held back by the 5350 and/or the PCIe x16 slot running at 4x.
