Scary cpu temperatures

The paste that comes already on the heatsink is perfectly fine and you should NOT be getting those sort of temps with it. Make sure the pump is working, CPU and rad getting good airflow. Change TIM as a last resort.

turn the pc off and grab ahold of the water block with two fingers and try to move it. if it moves around freely it is not mounted correctly if it is ridged with the board its all good. second check the v core volt setting in the bios and make sure its not above 1.4-1.5 volts or something silly  should be between 1.2-1.35 volts stock.
