logitech z4 will knock your socks off. but at least in germany i can only get them used on ebay. but still if you can find a used but in good shape set for around 30-40 € or whatever that may be in $ they are definitly worth it in my opinion

If you are using good headphones, you will be the hell of disappointed. Speakers for 50$ have NO difference and they are all cheap Asia crap where the housing of the speakers is the most expensive part of it. Bass? Forget it for 50$ and save up a lot of more money, say 200-300$

i guess it depends on the level of expectations. if you are realy picky then yes but at least with audio i think buying older stuff isnt necessarly bad. i liked the z4 and you can also regulate the bass so yeah i was happy with them listening to music , skyping, movies and gaming also. for the price they are really great. also hes asking for godd values for his money, saying he should spend more isnt helping in my opinion

Edit: and by the way who suggests spending 200-300 on speakers as the only option. dont get me wrong expensive once may be better but its not like everything else is crap. i really didnt like the aditude on your post.

They do not. I had the Z3, and there is nothing more than cheaply rumbling bass, which is not even turned-off when turning it to 0.

youre right that must mean every z3 is rubish and even every logitech speaker set must be rubbish by thinking about it that must mean every speaker system in that price range must be garbage. good point. good post .... -.-

Edit: but have your ever actually experienced Z4s? - No? Then i think you are an idiot and should shut up or prove me wrong.

well this got out of hand quickly

Im not looking for high-end 5.1 million dollar speakers

I have a budget of around $50, im not looking to rattle the windows. When i want loud/clean sound i use my Sennheisers.

Heard of Swan speakers? Check out the M10, it's quite a good performer despite its dimunitive size. Don't expect earth shaking bass, but is an able multi media 2.1 that is pretty good for music. I have a HiVi GT1000 2.1 speaker system (HiVi does Swan) and it handles games and music pretty well. The M10 is lauded by those in my neck of the woods for its small size and balanced sound reproduction.

Yes they do. Do you have any (better) alternatives to a Creative T3300 or Logitech Z323 with the same (or lower) price?

There are better options, I get that, but not for 50 bucks. OP just needs reasonable audio, which the sets mentioned above offer.

And the bass control turned down means -6dB, turned up +6db (most of the times). Its not supposed to turn the bass off.

They aren't even produced anymore, they aren't available anywhere. Creative T3300 or Logitech Z323 would be my advice.

If you're willing to buy them from amazon.com, they're only $45 + shipping obviously.

Because OP can't buy them then -.-

There is new technology every year, it's just not in revolutionary steps.

That's why old equipment can often still keep up.

So you heard every other speaker in that price range? It's very easy to recommend you're own speakers, but I bet that there are a lot better sets on the market by now.

Not to say that you're advice isn't good, but its very easy to say: 'I have these speakers, you should have them too'.

i didnt say he SHOULD have them i just recommend them. and yes i have had contact with quite a few speaker sets around that price point. im not like those people telling others "buy this everything else is crap" im simply saying that i would buy these over everything else for that price. thats my personal xperience and recommendation. doesnt mean im right doesnt mean im wrong im just reporting my thoughts on the matter sso others maybe have a look and make up their mind on their own. how come everyone is so aggressive lately.
