So, I'm at a friends house right now and he was searching something on the web and I noticed the search engine he was using looked like google but it wasn't. I googled it and found out it was a browser hijacker. I looked at the rest of his IE addons and alot of them were also malicious and hijackers. For some reason I don't have the option to disable these addons only. Here is what most of them are (the top part mostly):

Now I was looking in installed programs and saw most of them in there as well. The first two uninstalled but I have a problem with the way they uninstalled. All I had to do was click "uninstall" and it was removed from the list, no pop up or anything. However I have a feeling that it was ONLY removed from the list and it may still be installed. I continued on to the next one. This one came up with a pop up message that I would assume most people would click "yes" to unless they actually read it. The correct button would be "no" however I don't like how this message is presented either. The main word I don't like in it is "restart" It should not need to restart in order to uninstall an addon in IE. I have a feeling that if I do the uninstall only and restart option, it might mess something up during the restart. What would be the correct way in dealing with this? Here is what it looks like: oiVcqYF.jpg

Try using rkill to see if it's running in the background and things like Malwarebytes to get rid of it.

I looked through the running process and did not see anything bad running. I forgot about malwarebytes and will download and run it.
