A lot easier to save for, and you get similar performance. You get the case you originally wanted as well.
Honestly, with that monitor you're not running at much higher than regular 1080p. I'd just go with one card. If you can afford the extra $120, it might be worth going with the X, but the cards overclock very well so the standard 290 should suit you just fine. You can always add a second one later down the line if you find you need a performance boost. Remember, you only need to hit 60fps.
It's the US PCPP because I was too lazy to change it and that's where I generally buy my parts.
