more ram, less gpu. I'd say a 780ti is enough. Also, a 5930/5820 will probably be enough aswell.

Posting twice is also overkill ahahha...ha... but anyway, it depends on the type of content you are making. If you are making short half hour 1080p videos than yeah but if you are working in 3D rendering and with 4K content than no.

should never jump the boat on top of the line brand new hardware, unless you just absolutely love throwing money out the window,  300+$ for 16 GB ram?getting 4GB sticks is a bad idea, you might just end up throwing them away when the time comes, and a thousand dollar cpu? how about a 2p xeon system instead.

Too small capacity SSD and HDD for that type of build imo.

Hey blaster59687,

Since you are going to work with larger files and do some heavier editing and content creation, as @Luke suggested, I would say that you need more space. WD Black drives are great for gaming and heavier workloads, but if you are going for a heavy-duty PC, I could suggest you also look at WD VelociRaptor and WD Xe (I've put links at the bottom) or maybe consider a RAID option for better performance (RAID 0 maybe) with multiple drives. Working with large files could easily fill your SSD so you should be able to work with heavy stuff also from your HDD.

Hope this helps,

Captain_WD.

It's not overkill but rather a waste of money, even with 3D modeling

My current rig for entertainment/gaming: i5 4570 3,2GHz; MSI B85M-E45; ZOTAC GTX760 AMP!; 8GB (2x4GB) by Kingston; Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200rpm; Corsair 200R, Corsair VS650; Dell U2312HM, Samsung DVD R/W optical drive; CM Devastator; Corsair MM400 gaming pad
