Recomendations on a headset/headphone

First Off hail Gaben and praise the master race....

He gusy im buying a new headset/headphones and i dont know what to look for, audio i love it but its not my knowledge area.

I have a blue snowball mic on my desk and am looking to by a good gaming headphone, i play alot of fps shooter such as sc-go and also some more laid back games dayz, minecraft, so on so forth to list them all i might as well give you my steam id so what i am looking for is a headset/headphone with a retractable or no mic and also one that has some pretty nice features to give a edge in some games where sound orientation is important to hear where someone is comming from like sc-go, footsteps make that game and break your K/D.

Also am i being a noob going for a headset and should i get headphones or and what are the difference, simple answer welcome and so is detailed ones, can i have ask for product names and links if at all possible to amazon.co.uk / amazon.com

headphones don't have mics, headsets do. since you already have a good mic, you need headphones.

don't get a gaming brand, please.

If you don't need isolating headphones, ATH-AD500X and HD 518 are some defacto recommendations.
