Hey guys im gonna finally get myself to build a PC to game on. I have a 23 inch 1920x1080 monitor (ips panel) I want to use and I just wanted to hear any suggestions. I am also on a tight budget because I am in tr middle of restoring a car with my dad which is where most of my money has gone to for the past year. I would say 600 to 700 US dollars would be my max. I already have windows and a 500gb WD Blue drive I can use but other then that I need suggestions. I will go AMD or Intel I dont really care I just want the best balenced system I can get. THANKS!

Here you go: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/10NnD $626

There's also a $20 rebate for the psu and $20 rebate for the gpu.

If you need an optical drive, it's an extra $15: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/lite-on-optical-drive-ihas124-04

Well I came up with this but it is kinda over your budget by $50. I added an SSD but it cost too much but you could probably change out the PSU and add 4gb more ram which I had originally intended.

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($169.99 @ Microcenter)

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($33.24 @ Amazon)

Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4-M Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($129.99 @ Amazon)

Memory: Patriot Viper 3 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($23.99 @ Newegg)

Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB Video Card ($224.99 @ Newegg)

Case: Cooler Master Elite 430 ATX Mid Tower Case ($29.99 @ Newegg)

Power Supply: Silverstone Strider Essential 500W 80 PLUS Certified ATX12V Power Supply ($47.79 @ NCIX US)

Total: $659.98

(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

The the PSU might be pushing it as well as the lack of an SSD. It does kinda depend on what games you play though. For new titles I took the 7870 as a minimum for a single 1080p screen. You could do, like WoodenMaker, go with a 7850 though.

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

ok so far I really liked the fractal design core 1000 case because its 30 bucks, it looks like the unanimous decision for cooling is the hyper 212 EVO, and i think i am going to go with the 7850/70 depending on how everything else goes, thanks for all the help guys

Sapphire, MSI or Asus are all good choices, but prices between all of these may vary. Are you planning to do any overclocking?

probably not maybe when the hardware is on its way out I will to squeeze the most life I can out of it, but I dont plan on doing it out of the box

The psu is fine. You can actually run a 7870 off of a cx430 with an adapter. Also, with my build, a 7870 would fit in just fine. The Msi 7870 comes with the adapter.

Edit: Also, don't get one stick of ram. You want 2 for dual channel.

Ah, well if you're not planning to do any overclocking right out of the box, then a overclocking oriented SKU isn't much of a requirement. Any of those above ones will be just fine :3

I wouldn't get an aftermarket cooler unless I'm overclocking. For stock, the cooler than intel provides is fine.

If you are going with the 3570k though, you should get a z77 motherboard: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/htz6

I would stick with the 3470 though. Everyone just rushes to the 3570k even when the situation doesn't call for it.

What brand would you recommend?

Go with the cheapest one. Most have decent coolers and you should be manually overclocking it anyway so factory overclocks are irrelevant.

Intel 3470, Asrock mATX Z77 pro4-m (microcenter has them bundled for 220) Silverstone strider 500w (47.79), Fractal Design core 1000 (30) Ill finish this when I get back home, see yall in  bit

Don't get a z77 board! You only need it if you're overclocking. The b75 will be virtually the same!

Also, get a cx430 if you're getting a 7870 or weaker card. Go for 550w if you're going for a 7950. A 500w is an awkward spot.
