Windows 8 fresh install problems.

Go to solution Solved by Enderman,

1) It's stupid, and so am i for not thinking to look in the TV menu instead of the windows menu. -- Fixed, derp :P

2) I don't have an optical drive :c

3) I deleted the partition.  So the key should work right?  Maybe i should call microsoft support :/

1) LOL

2) If you have a second PC, go to your motherboard manufacturers website, find your motherboard, and find the downloads that are all the motherboard drivers. If you don't have a second PC you will need to buy an external (or internal) Optical drive, which only cost less than $20

3) Yeah call them and see if they can fix it, they will know what the problem is.

I just partially finished my new system, and i'm having a couple of issues with windows 8.

I have a 1080p 60hz 40" TV, and when i set the screen res to 1920x1080 (native res) the screen is a bit too large for the TV. (the sides are getting cut off)  And the only way that i can see the screen properly is to set the screen res to 1280x1024 (NOT native res)

Another problem is that i cant connect to the ethernet cable (could be a hardware problem?), basically it says "Windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter.  If you have a network adapter, you will need to re-install the driver."  I'm not sure what to do here.

The last real problem that i have is that my product key won't work.  I bought a win 8 product key like a year ago to dual boot my mac, and on my custom rig it isn't working. (worked fine with the dual boot)

My current build (using intel integrated graphics until the 800/900? series comes out in september) : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Hk2XVn

1) What TV is it? Smart or Stupid? Is there an auto-adjust setting in your TV menu?

2) The CD that comes with the motherboard has the LAN drivers on it. You need to install those to connect to the internet.

3) Is your mac still using the same same key or did you uninstall windows from it?
