The HyperX Blue fury 8GB Single Memory RAM module can auto overclock from 1333mhz to 1866mhz, it claims that it does not need bios configuration, and is automatic. My motherboard's maximum RAM speed is @ 1333mhz.

Would my PC post or would it not?
(I would force the RAM to stay @ 1333mhz in the bios when/if it does.)

Thanks in advance,

I'm guessing that's with the XMP profile. If your board can only do 1333mhz, then that's what the ram will detect and ru

It says if you read about it that it does not require a motherboard profile/XMP profile and is automatic, which is what worries me. The possibility of it over-clocking itself in the bios itself.
