A water block for a reference card will not fit on an MSI lightning card.  The manufacture of the water block should be able to give you compatibility with various cards.

looking for a good GPU block for a r9 290x lightning. I was thinking of the swiftech KOMODO-R9-LE I just don't know if it will fit with the extra 6pin power cconnector
