Lol. I've never worn an anti-static wristband. Built numerous computers, never had a part die.

Were you rolling around in the carpet with the quaddro?

Antistatic wristbands are pretty useless. If you don't know to discharge your static before you start building, you probably shouldn't be building in the first place.

You don't need an i7 if it is just for gaming. Also low end Coolermaster psu's aren't that good. I would go with something from Superflower or XFX etc.

Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($118.99 @ Amazon)

Strange choice on the cpu cooler.

I would either put a more expensive or cheaper one. Then I wondered what if he wants to try OCing that 4690k later... that noctua cooler is actually pretty nice...

EDIT: Fuck me. I believe I put the wrong cooler. Even the 212 Evo seems to be better than the L12.

thx for the suggestion ill look into it. i live in slovenia and we dont really have every part under the sun here.

It's actually true... even a game released tomorrow won't take advantage of the Hyperthreading supported by the i7 - that's the main difference between the two processors.

The 4690k single core performance is actually better than the i7, I read that a while ago. So, for $100, you can get a better CPU and save money elsewhere or you can save some money with your CPU and spend that money elsewhere.

Getting a 4790k with a, let's say, GTX 770 will be worse than getting a 4690k with a GTX 780 for games...

Yes the 212 Evo would be a good choice. The Noctua L12 is more of a small form factor cooler.

okay so i took this post and with some corner cutting came up with this setup:

http://www.dinokomp.si/konfigurator/?mb_id=5463&procesor_id=5697&ram_id=437&gra_id=5789&gra_id=5789&hdd1_id=459&ssd1_id=3896&case_id=5366&sound_id=1675&optical_id=1117&cool_id=5103&power_id=5312

do you think it could work well enough?

I see some problems:

Only 2 GB and 1333Mhz is not good for RAM memory. Try to get, at least, 4GB at 1600MHz, but the optimal would be 8GB.

Also, the GT 730 is a low-end graphics card... you would not be able to play games on high settings at 1080p. Try to get, at least, a GTX 770 if you can afford that!

I believe the rest is okay ! :)

You are also overspending on the motherboard and cooler. The cooler probably won't fit in that case as well, as it is quite large. Something like the Raijintek aidos would be a good choice. You could drop the soundcard as well, as motherboards have good onboard sound.
