My first build at fourteen, also looking for tips

This is my first custom PC that i've built. I started on a budget and ended up going over and putting everything on bill me later, i finally got most of that paid off and my job is going to give me around $400 to spend on extra suff for the PC. I'll list the specs below all this jibber jabber but just wanted to run over a few things. The H100i doesn't work quite as well as it should but under idle it stays around 37 degrees Celsius and under load (Using Prime95) it stays about 77-80 Celsius. The side panel with i don't know if it will be listed or not has two stock corsair fans on them, they run around 800rpm because there split on one PWM fan header which i like because there loud at max speed, the top (Radiator) fans are running around 1300rpm, the back 140mm AF fan is running around 100rpm and the front are somewhere around 900rpm, over all with the CPU being liquid cooled i most likely have to much air but i guess thats fine. I'm running Windows 8, which i happen to like especially with a windows 8 phone.

More important stuff if u want to skip all of that above, lol

I plan to upgrade the only 500GB HDD and add a 256GB Samsung 840 Pro (Will keep HDD for pics, Docs, etc.), I also since i have a H100i to add a corsair link lighting and cooling kit (Tell me if i should or not) and rearrange the fans where there will be none on the side panel. I will do this because i plan to add a window in the side to see the corsair link or other lighting in action. I want to do some sort of sleeving on the PSU cables, right now i have some black cable extensions however my GPU has some blue on it so if you can make a good point i might be persuaded to do full cable sleeving. I'm also thinking about painting that ugly grey and white CD and Card reader a black or black and blue, give me a thumbs up if u agree. Any mods or improvements you think i should do like painting the rad., doing custom cable sleeving, etc. tell me. I have approx. $400 to blow on extras....

Pretty nice looking build!

But why didn't you get an AMD cpu or gpu, AMD Lover? :P

Me: Yeah I just really can't get my H220 working again, I've tried everything that was suggested in the forum.

Brian (Swiftech Support): Hmm, have you tried slapping it?

Yeah, curious as to why you'd gone with an MSI GTX660 Ti PE which comes with Metro Last Light (great game btw) instead of a slightly cheaper, yet more powerful Sapphire HD7870 XT with Boost, and it comes with three games to boot (Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider, FC3 Blood Dragon). You don't like AMD GPU for some reason? Anyway, decent enough build......good job for a someone at 14 actually. :)

I dont think it should just be about the games but yeah i would have gone for a 7870 or a 7950. Especially the 7950, overclocks very well and could potentially outperform a 660ti PE had u overclocked it.

Blue sleeving. You have plenty of black. More blue would add some more accents to the case. Extensions or full cable are up to you. Full cable will be more difficult.

CPU: Intel i5-2320 @ 3.9gHz

GPU: MSI GTX 670 PE @ 1411/7387

How far are you overclocking your cpu? You don't wanna waste the h100i and you can maybe add an additional 1tb HDD with your games on the WD Green for game footage recording :)

Will most likely try to find some sort of cable extensions then get a custom made steel PSU cover with a Corsair or some sort of logo on it, the CPU is OC'ed to 4.4Ghz, thats the max i could get it without just taking the voltage and just cranking it through the roof. Yep, definatly going to get some games and a SSD, maybe a 1TB Red Drive, but i might also get corsair link do it just all depends

If you have an extra $400, maybe you could pick up a second 660ti?

Sweet build. Much tidier than my first.

I would rather replace the 660ti with an 670/680... If you resell your 660ti, your could even get more than a 670 - have a look a 700 series card...
