no real need unless you are installing programs on them,  in exchange for better speeds you do risk your data more, losing one drive means you lose both drives

raid 1 is better if you want to mirror the drives for a backup, but if you need the speed and want to use raid 0 make sure you have a good backup

no real need unless you are installing programs on them, bear in mind you lose half the storage in exchange for better speeds!

what? raid 0 doesn't lose storage?  ex raiding 2 250 drives gives u 500gb but no redundancy      OP USE RAID 1 from storage SPACES PROTECT YOUR DATA, Speed for storage drives is not worth losing data

Sorry yeah you are right  :) twice the storage and double the performance

Raid 0 is useful providing your have a decent backup solution for your data (all my rigs use it)

Especially if you are installing games and software to mechanical drives

i don't use hdds in my system i have a server with raid 6 much better :D fast and safe :D, but since op has an ssd and 2 hdd, just use raid 1, to protect don't want to be pissed when data is gone.

I have a raid 10 storage server for my data which backs up to cloud (soon to be a secondary off site NAS)

But I still use raid 0 in my rigs and laptops!

I have games and my media on them! Only bf4 and other most played games are on my SSDs!
