am i getting DoS'd?

xjohnny3589

I was just playing a round of Dota 2 and out of nowhere my internet disconnects. When I go to the network and sharing center it says I'm connected but I can't go on any sites or anything they all say "resolving host". Is there anyway I can fix this

Could just be your ISP that is crap, you're from the US, so I wouldn't be surprised.

Try changing your DNS.

Try changing your DNS.

You could have provided him an explanation

Here's how you do it OP:

1.Open up cmd (windows key + r and type cmd)

2. type: ipconfig /release

3. then: ipconfig /flushdns

4.and finally: ipconfig /renew

Should work

I meant for him to use something like Google DNS. If he did not know how that was done and wanted to know, he would have asked.

ugh  hate how everything who loses connection these days automatically thinks they are getting ddos'd.  are you even remotely important? not meaning to sound like a dick, but if you arent an extremely popular streamer, the answer is no you arent. and even if you are on the level of somebody like NightBlue (LoL streamer), you probably are not getting ddos'd.  its nowhere near as common as people want to believe. sick of hearing "omg i lagged im getting ddos'd, omg i lost connection i got ddos'd.  its either a dns issue, ip issue, have shit internet, or forgot to pay the bill (like i did last week)
