I have the Kingston Beast 2400Mhz ram

and its CL11 can i bring it any lower?

how?

I have an MSI Z87-GD65

Sure get different ram. I know at 2400 Mhz, they should be around 8 or 9 for the lowest CLAS. Nice profile picture btw I thought about changing mine to that but you've got the name to go with it.

If you've previously won the build off please pm me so we can get something worked out.

you don't really need to, the gains won't be that great, and it's already high speed.

you can either overvolt it and lower the timings and test if it's stable, drop the frequency and drop the timings, or use one of the XMP profiles that has a lower frequency and lower timings.

i just really don't like having a CL11 ram :P

can't i change it to CL10 without changing the frequency?

oh How?

and will it harm the ram or motherboard in anyway?

As with any overclocking if not probably tested with Prime 95 or stress tested as we call it yes it could severely ruin PC parts. However if you do it correctly it will be okay.

If you've previously won the build off please pm me so we can get something worked out.

if you're using AMD no

if you're using Intel idk what the IMC can handle

you yolo your way into BIOS, change the RAM voltage to something higher, set your clocks

boot into memtest86 and whip out your bible

Hmm didn't know that about AMD and Intel...suppose it makes sense tho. Intel has a threshold that can't be expanded past...AMD's typically don't have a limit.
