so basicly id like to know what is a good read speed for an ssd   (basicly id also like to know if a 480 mb/s is good)

480 is just fine. Once you have used your SSD for a bit and have done a bunch of reads to it the drive will get slower. Not much slower though. Mine is at 428 at the moment but when I do another benchmark it will go up. I have written a little more then 1TYB to my SSD though.

ah ok . I plan on using it for os, steam, chrome, skype, and a couple of extra software of mine.

Sequential speeds matter shit with SSDs. What matters, is random writes and reads. This is what sets ssds apart from hdds.
