Good 1440p Monitor

TheCroaker

I am curious if anyone knows of a decent sized (24in+) 1440p Monitor, doesn't necessarily have to be IPS, but preffered, that is fairly cheap, I am willing too spend a lot but would prefer not too, just want to see suggestions, Thanks

My PC:

Case: Corsair C70, Motherboard: MSI Z87-G45, CPU: I5-4670k, RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance, GPU: Gigabyte 970 G1 Gaming , PSU: Corsair RM650W Gold, Storage: 250 GB Samsung EVO SSD, 240 GB Kingston SSDNOW

You should get the ASUS PB278Q

Its a pretty solid monitor, with a great stand.

But about the price, it's about as cheap as you can get. it'll usually come out to somewhere around $520 after tax and/or shipping.

If you want to go any cheaper than that, you are probably going to have to look at the korean monitors. I've heard good about the QNIX EVO 2

It's better than the asus and it doesn't use pwm dimming. Plus, it's cheaper than the asus. http://www.benq.ca/product/monitor/bl2710pt

Very much so. I'm sure it'll be phased out soon though. It's old!

Yeah, well unfortunately it's supposed successor, the PB278QR, won't be available in the US.

Not bad! I really dislike the stand though.

Is there anything inherently bad about Korean monitors?

Build quality. Panel wise it's just as good as some panels from the PB278Q, BL2710PT, VP2770 LED, etc.

well that isnt a huge deal for me as it wont be moving anyway, is there a place I can buy em?

Tek Syndicate Korean monitors video.  Yesterday I ordered the one Logan recommended for gaming, it looks pretty nice. $269 and free shipping, I'm looking forward to it getting here.  I went with the seller they recommended, over 14k feedback and 99.5% positive.
