Hey Guys so...

I used to own a tablet and it broke so I got a credit from the store and bought a laptop about a year ago..

Its a HP(horrible product ;) ) and basically terrible. Its a AMD 1.4ghz processor and it had 2gb of ram. I upgraded the ram to 4gb but its still S***.

My question is if you look at the picture I've included you can see that 99% of my CPU and only 75% of my ram are being used. All I'm trying to do at the moment is watch one YouTube video at 480p but it keeps stopping and starting because my CPU cant keep up. I have a 4gb ram stick laying around. Is there any chance whatsoever that the laptop will benefit from upgrading the Ram to 6gb. The reason I ask is that the laptop is pretty much impossible to take apart because both the harddrive and the ram are right on the bottom of the laptop under the motherboard. You actually have to take the whole laptop apart to get to them.. wtf...

Any answers appreciated.. even if you want to laugh at me for having the worst laptop ever made.. :)

have ddr3-1600 ram for dual channel because it would be faster and would help a bit

here's a chart about it

I have a hp laptop and the performance isn't that bad because it's a quad core

nope. if your cpu is at 99% nothing will help. I would say the only option is to install linux on that.

laptop itself is not bad, it's the chip that's in that laptop, it's completely your fault for buying the cheapest thing.

it's a E1-1200, that thing is like a mobile phone chip, can't expect much.

The, under the mobo stuff, is why I charge people extra when they ask me to repair/upgrade HP laptops... they are such a pain to deal with.

You do, although, it's a basically useless laptop, unless you want to install Chrome OS or Linux on it. The CPU is just... underpowered, and the RAM is far too low for anyone on this forum to get decent usage out of it without being infuriated.

I don't understand why they do it. Laptops I've dealt with in the past you take 4 screws out of the bottom and the hardrive and ram are sitting right on top. They make somthing so easy hard. I guess they don't want you messing with it?

they don't expect anyone to try and upgrade the laptop that costs about as much as a ram stick.

Your CPU is the part that's maxed not your RAM so your CPU is the problem, in short it's awful spend no more money on that laptop and save for a proper system.
