Catalyst Control Center won't open

It was working fine but one day it just wouldn't open anymore. This has happened on multiple OS installs. Currently I'm experiencing this problem in Windows 8.1.

 

I've tried–

• Fresh installs with multiple versions old (13.11) and current (14.4).
• I've tried clearing my GAC related to AMD. There weren't any.
• I'm updated to the most recent Netframework.
• I've added strings in regedit.

None of this has worked. Has anybody here experienced this issue as well? Can anybody help?

I had this issue and tried so many things to get it to open. So one day I sat a clicked it repeatedly for about 5 minutes and it finally opened. But I no longer use CCC.

I stopped installing CCC a long time ago. It just plain sucks imo. What do you primarily use it for?

I have my TV hooked up to my PC for couch gaming. CCC provides more scaling options than windows 'screen resolution' settings do.
