nexus 5 WiFi issues

My nexus 5 has been playing up on my WiFi at home everyother device is fine laptop, tablet, console all with the signal I am used to wherever I am in the house but with my nexus 5 it just low on signal everywhere I go unless I stand right next to the router. With my sisters phone the IPhone 4s I could be sitting next to her one room away and she's on full bars of WiFi connection buts there's me barely getting one bar of connection I was just wondering if anybody knew anything that would help. :)

Did it suddenly start this? Maybe after a software update or something.

If its like this when you bought it, I'd return it and get a new one.

If its like this when you bought it, I'd return it and get a new one.

its just suddenly happened I just got back from college and noticed my signal was very weak so I robooted my router Becuase its an old one now but change and I've tried booting into safe mode and still the same occurs :(

Try searching the XDA forums to see if anyone is encountering any similar issues. I think one of the updates 4.4.3 I believe did something to the radio on the d820 model. I'm running 4.4.4 on a d821 and have no WiFi or signal issues. You could try a factory reset though if you haven't.

I remember one of the updates did something to the radio and many people had issues with it, I can't remember if it was model related or the LTE band or something. Is yours as bad? Like full bars as compared to 1 bar. WiFi stuff are pretty hard to isolate :/ it could be interference or something. Does it happen outside of your home network? Like maybe at office or a friend's place.

its always kind of bad, i dunno, i guess il wait for some updates, and see if that will help
