p.s my only worry really was the ssd

I would swap it for the Crucial MX100. The V300 is pretty slow.

MX100 is miles better than the V300. I would also recommend getting an 990FX motherboard as opposed to 970.

RIG: I7-4790k @ 4.5GHz | MSI Z97S SLI Plus | 12GB Geil Dragon RAM 1333MHz | Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 (1550MHz core/7800MHz memory) @ +18mV(Maxed out at 1650/7800 so far) | Corsair RM750 | Samsung 840 EVO 120GB, 1TB Seagate Barracuda | Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 (Closed) | Sound Blaster Z                                                                                                                        Getting: Noctua NH-D15 | Possible 250GB Samsung 850 Evo                                                                                        Need a console killer that actually shits on every console? Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

whats the advantages? cause the $100 pricetag on the 970 is appealing to me with my limited budget

990FX is a lot better (don't know specifics) than 970 when paired with an 8320 or above. Also 990FX boards tend to be beefier.

As for the MX100 it is simply better (uses better NAND)

I know the mx100 is better i was targeting the motherboard with that comment but the 990fx is a lot uglier and a lot more expensive could i get away with it?

Don't recommend skimping on the motherboard on AMD CPU's.

With an 8320 there's no problem with getting a 970 motherboard. That CPU won't overclock heaps anyway, so the only thing that a 990 board brings to the table is SLI support. Just make sure you get a 970 motherboard with a heatsink over the VRMs

The V300 is literally the worst SSD you can get right now. Anything other then it is an improvement. Consider the upcoming OCZ Arc 100.

If you're gaming and you can live with the HDD you have now then personally I'd get a second 7770 if you can get one for a good price. Otherwise just get a whole new GPU,  because there's no R7 card that can crossfire with the 7770
