1. Don't get 4770k, get 4790k.

2. You don't need i7 for gaming

3. You do not need ASUS ROG motherboard

4. You can get much better G.SKILL memory for less money probably.

5. Crucial MX100 is the better choice for SSD.

6. EVGA G2 850W is much better than RM850.

Stop not recommending ROG boards they are top of the line boards. There is nothing wrong with i7s for gaming they are better then i5s. And there is nothing wrong with the RM stop telling everyone to get the EVGA g2 PSU

ROG boards are overpriced really (Also I said don't needm I did not say DO NOT GET).

I7's are NOT better than I5's for gaming, they are equal since games cannot use the hyperthreading atm

Also stop telling people to get one of the greatest PSU's atm? (http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=377) I will recommend this thing for a long long time.

Theres nothing wrong with RM power supplies. If you like them the get them. If their both the same wattage and both fully modular and both 80+ gold then there is no reason to get one over the other. Plus the RM power supplies look better much cleaner look

Sorry about @Archangel1994 he says this about everyones builds

I'm sorry, what's wrong about preventing people from overspending or preventing people from choosing the lesser product? Explain please otherwise don't be negative about me if you do not have a solid reason. The ROG are not needed. I never said he shouldn't get it all I said was that he doesn't need it.

He is somewhat right though. There's next to no performance increase when you compare an i5 to an i7 when gaming. Any differences are minute, we're talking a fraction of a frame, 1-2 frames at most.

Also the EVGA G2 850W is both better AND cheaper so why would I not recommend it? EVGA > Any other brand out there.

Wut are you talking about mate? 'Games cannot use hyperthreading' 1.If a game supports more  than 4 cores it will use the hyperthreading. You are (unless you are a total newb) probably aware of that but the way you are formulating it is compeltly wrong.

It doesnt matter is its not needed you could go buy a $80 tax board because features are not needed but their nice to have but the ROG boards just look good fully black pcbs and red accents. Looks are important when you are building a PC. Im getting ready to order parts for a new build with a red and black theme. Im getting a ROG board and I'm spending $40 more on my PSU to get the AX 860 over the RM 850 because the AX lettering is red.

I'm afraid you did not read my post correctly. I said at the moment, and that part is true for 99.9% of the games, a few exceptions are not worth taking an I7 over.

Switch to a 4790k, and a non-ROG motherboard. They are honestly way overpriced.

And if you're only doing gaming, I'd recommend the I5 over the I7, but seeing as you play minecraft, you'll want the I7. It should benefit you greatly.

Also I'd agree in saying the EVGA 850w G2 is probably a better option than the RM850, but it doesn't really matter. There's nothing wrong with the corsair power supply, it's cables just aren't as good :P

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

Okay, so while those two are bickering hahaha. I have some suggestions.

It's worth it for you to go ahead and just get the 4790k. It's better, uses solder as the go between the die and the heat sink, and is newer. I would highly recommend that you get the 4690k instead though. It is the I5 version of the 4790k, but it doesn't have hyper threading. Since you aren't using this build for editing or something core heavy there is no need for you to grab a hyper threading capable CPU. The benefits from it are minuscule at this point and most games don't support more than 4 cores if even that at this point in time. But by all means if you have the money get it.

Secondly, I do believe that ROG boards are overpriced. I believe that (http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/enthusiast-z97-motherboard-overclock,3893.html) taking a look at this will help you select a better priced motherboard for what you are looking for. By all means still get the ROG but make a better informed decision.

Third, PSU's don't really matter who the brand is. Check out the manufacturer as that matters more. (http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/power-supply-psu-brands,3762.html)

Making informed decisions is the smart thing, not just listening to the fanboys.

I'm a student currently attending the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, if you attend or around there please don't hesitate to contact me!
