I have...mixed...feelings about the post-hardcore/screamo/emo genre.

Some of the bands I like and some I even love, but at some point the genre got over saturated, and the style, individuality, and nuances particular to each band got drowned out by repetitiveness, stylistic predictability, and above all, a dynamic loudness that has made the genre damn near unlistenable; "As If Everything Were Held In Place" by Of Machines is absolutely heartbreaking.  I barely even follow the genre anymore outside of a few producers such as Krummett, Sturgis, and Mizzell.  Some p-h/scm/emo I currently have in my library include The Color Morale, Of Machines, Orbs (occasionally), Tides of Man (if that counts), A Lot Like Birds, Hands Like Houses etc.

i probably have more but its a 35,000 song library....

I really just hate seeing such a promising genre go down such a predictable path. If anything, I'm waiting for more progressive/experimental artists in the genre to blossom.

If you could reco any good bands in the genre it would be greatly appreciated.
